The Standard Journal Newspaper

The Standard Journal Newspaper has been in existence since 1888. Beginning in 1908 various members of the Porter family have owned the newspaper. In December 1999, Roger Porter sold the Standard Journal to Pioneer Newspapers, a small family-owned media company comprised of small to medium sized community newspapers through the Northwest.

The Standard Journal strives to be the go-to resource for local news and information. We support local events and programs that expand citizen opportunities and foster stimulating discussions. We offer a diverse platform of marketing and advertising solutions that are essential to the prosperity of local businesses. We employ local people who live, eat and sleep in our communities.

Recently under new management, we look forward to positive change in 2016. We are honored to be selected as the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce February Business of the Month.
