What is the Farmer Merchant Community Banquet?
Each year in March the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce has a Farmer Merchant Community Banquet to honor the farmers, business people, professionals and the citizens in our community. We will recognize a Farmer of the Year, Madison Educator of the Year, Sugar-Salem Educator of the Year, Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Public Servant of the Year, Director of the Year, Lifetime Achievement of the Year, Madison Soil & Water Conservationist of the Year, Beautification Award of the Year, Medical Professional and a Service Club of the Year.
This year the banquet will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 6:15pm at the NEW Madison High School Gymnasium. We have a nice dinner, a silent auction and a live auction as fundraisers.
We ask the businesses in the area to donate items or gift certificates for these auctions. Items donated with a value of $200.00 or more go in the Live Auction and all other items go in the Silent Auction. It is a good advertisement for your company. Last year we sold over 500 tickets to this banquet. We would like very much to put your company name on any donation you could give us. If your donation is brought to the chamber office by Friday, February 15, 2013, you will be eligible for the drawing for FREE chamber dues up to $250.00.
Proceeds are used to provide equipment and supplies for the chamber office. Items the chamber has purchased with proceeds include a phone system, a copy machine, FAX machine, computers, etc.
Tickets are $25.00 each same as last year. Our theme this year is “Madison County – The First 100 Years”. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed. For tickets or more information, please call the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce at 356-5700.
