Subject: Legislative Tour & INL Tour

Dear State Legislators:

The Eastern Idaho Legislative Tour is just around the corner and we could not be more excited to be your host as we look forward to seeing you all on September 22nd.  For your convenience and as a reminder, I have attached a schedule of the Tour’s events and the location where they will take place.  If you have yet to RSVP, please let us know if you will be able to attend or not.  Also, some of you who have responded did not tell us how you are getting here nor if you will be accompanied by your spouse.  So, just to clarify – we need to know 1) if you are planning on attending or not, 2) if you are driving yourself or need travel arrangements, and 3) if you are attending alone or with your spouse.

Another extraordinary opportunity that we want to promote is a special legislative tour of the Idaho National Laboratory.  Following the adjournment of our tour in Rexburg, the INL wants to invite you to visit and experience its state-of-the-art capabilities and facilities.  On September 24th they are having a tour of the Center for Advanced Energy Studies in Idaho Falls and a reception later that evening.  Then, on September 25th they will present you with a personal tour of their world-class nuclear research and development laboratory at the INL site.  They anticipate to conclude their tours around mid-afternoon on September 25th (Wednesday) for those who need to travel home.

All lodging and meals will be provided by the INL for those who wish to stay for this additional tour.

Again, this is an exceptional occasion that we highly encourage you to take advantage of.  If you are interested in attending or want more information, please contact Brian Whitlock at brian.whitlock@inl.gov or (208) 334-9598.

Sincerely,
-Donna Benfield, Executive Director
